I guess if you have a good thing going, why stop? Don't fix what's not broken!This book features our favourite detective duo again, playing with Lego duo's... (see what I did there?)Apparently smuggling and illegal Lego blocks are a big thing, and when a truck driver is found dead, and some Lego stolen, the detective duo finds themselves having to investigate this.The book was written in a very quick fashion (faster than I can build Lego blocks!) and a nice read for anyone that loves a quirky and entertaining book!

Jance has an iPad doing Impossible(?) with a GPS to Sove a Mystery By Bill Anderson Length: Print, 81 pages; Audible, 2 hours 32 minutes.Feel free to be a part of the conversation by leaving a comment and your vote regarding helpfulness.Amazon Kindle Sales Rank at the time this review was posted: 119.This fictional story is an intriguing mystery regarding smuggling of Lego sets. In addition to enjoying a good story set in the American Southwest, readers should be able to discard any apprehension they may feel regarding their dental or medical appointment, because this work by J. A. Jance isn't enthralling.Surprisingly interesting, but the author has an iPad doing what I believe to be impossible. At least I can't get my head around the little trick played with an iPad and a GPS at about 56% through this story. See the below excerpt.This novella is written in spoken English with surprisingly few swear words (no sh- or f-bombs.With no further elaboration, let's take a gander at an excerpt.EXCERPT:She opened a battered black leather case and pulled out a fistful of power cords held together by plastic tie-wraps. She plugged one end of the cord into an opening on the broken frame of the GPS and plugged the other end into the port on her iPad. “Here goes,” she said, punching what was left of the on/ off switch. “Let’s see if there’s any life in this old contraption.”A moment later, the screen on her iPad lit up. “Bingo,” she said triumphantly, turning the iPad so both Joanna and Ali both could see the screen."It looks just like a GPS,” Joanna said in amazement."That’s because it is a GPS,” Cami assured her. “This GPS,” she added, pointing to the damaged...Because this novella is so short, I kept the excerpt very brief.Despite the seeming error regarding the iPad, I'm giving No Honor Among Thieves 4 Stars.

Ali and The Great Lego Caper By Nancy In the world of smuggling, who would have thought that you would end up with eight dead bodies all over LEGO’s, yes, those little plastic building blocks? In No Honor Among Thieves, J.A. Jance brings together two of her female characters. Joanna Brady and Ali Reynolds team up to solve the “Great LEGO Caper”.Ali’s husband B. and his High Noon Enterprises, a security consulting company, have been hired by the toy company to track missing shipments of their famous sets. When a driver is found dead with boxes tumbling out of his truck, B. and his gang are called in to investigate which put this interesting group of women, including newest computer nerd Cami, together.I have never read a Joanna Brady novel, but she does seem like an interesting character that I should look for. Ali will never change and always seems to have the right solution for each situation. I would love to see more of Stu in future books since his quirkiness always seems to entertain me.This book may have moved the Brady series further along with an interesting revelation for the police chief, but for the Ali Reynolds’s series, there is nothing new here other than a brief chance to bring these two characters together.
