3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Lovely Christmas themed romantic Novella By Sandy Milan I enjoyed some of the author's other short stories and this one was just as good. Our h is headed to London to join her family when her carriage is in an accident and she and her companion are rescued by the H. The H lets them believe that he is a Baron and he arranges rooms for them at a nearby inn. The h has been in her younger, beautiful sister's shadow and has lots of insecurities as a result. The main characters get along famously for the period that they are at the inn. The h invites the H to come visit her family in London but he declines. I'm not going to say more because it's a short story worth reading.

A love filled Christmas story By Melissa Being caught in a snowstorm provides ample opportunity to fall in love with a stranger and that is exactly what happens to the hero and heroine in A Duke for Midwinter. Heroine Selene Banning is rescued from an overturned carriage by handsome Sir Jared Kendrick. Selene is less glamourous and outgoing than her sister and she is used to being in the background; now someone is noticing her and appreciating her fine mind and warm personality.Jared enjoys being locked away in a country Inn with Selene. He can be himself without the gossips of the ton. He knows the time he has with Selene is idyllic and limited and he is withholding secrets.Even though these two spend only days together they form a strong bond built on long conversations and joyous experiences but they both wonder what will happen when the real world intrudes upon their cozy time at the inn.I liked both of these characters. They are falling in love and it shows through Selene’s almost dizzy feeling whenever they touch and Jared’s smiles. Their happy ending is very satisfying.
