Adjust your sails By Simon Says No cliffhangerStandalone though part of a larger seriesTold from both POVsMinor editing errorsYet another amazing book by this author. I have read every book she has written and I haven't been disappointed yet.Declan is a musician who isn't looking to settle down. Callie is a badass who is looking to renovate the bar her father left her when he died. When they meet sparks fly but they both fight it...that is until they can't anymore.The passion and love between these two is intense but it is also amazing in that it is a normal kind of love. Nothing super crazy and over the top just the kind of love that focuses on the little things.The banter in the book had me cracking up and I love that we got a little taste of the characters from the with me in Seattle series too cause I miss them!Great book. Can't wait for Charly's story.

Declan is an easy going, talented and sexy musician performing in clubs in New Orleans. Callie is the strong willed, independent new owner of the Odessy where Declan performs. They have an attraction to each other but Callie has her walls up and doesn't need to get involved with a man like Declan. Declan is not a settle down kind of guy. As they get to know each other their walls start to come down. Declan has never known anyone like Callie. He feels things for her he never felt before. Callie feels safe with someone else other then herself for the first time in a very long time. Things are felt but nothing is said out loud. Not talking and miscommunication cause hurt and pain.Kristen Proby draws you in , makes you feel like you are part of the Boudreaux family. I love how you feel like you are right there with the Characters. Love, Love, Love that they visit Seattle and meet old - new friends. Kristen Proby does it again with a fabulous book.

I fall in love with her characters so easily. They’re the kind of women you’d want as your best friends and the kind of men that if you couldn’t have them as your boyfriend, you’d want them as your friends because they’d have your back. Easy Melody was definitely no exception to this. I loved every minute of it. I devoured it way too quickly, but I just couldn’t help myself.Declan and Callie were hot together, but oh so sweet as well. I loved Callie’s fierceness. I love how independent and strong she was, yet there was so much vulnerability in her. Life wasn’t easy for her, but she didn’t let it get her down. Declan, although a playboy of sorts, was so romantic. I loved how protective of Callie he was and how persistent. They were so great for each other.I have always wanted to visit New Orleans, but after reading this series, I am desperate to go. I feel like I can picture it all in my head, but that isn’t enough. I want to experience it firsthand. I absolutely love this series and I cannot wait for more.

24 of 25 people found the following review helpful. Lived up to its promise! Another great book in the series. Can't wait for the next one! By Readsalot Another great addition to the series. After reading Born of Defiance I waited all year for this one. What had been done to Talyn throughout his life because of his lack of caste was sooooooo messed up (and that coming after Dancer's story too!) The fact of Faine, one of my favorite snarky characters, being the direct/indirect cause of all the heartache Talyn had experienced throughout his life by abandoning Talyn's mother for Omira was this HUGE obstacle. Throughout the entire series it had been repeated over and over again that Faine was outcast for running away with a human because he loved her and then she broke his heart - but looking back through the series, it just didn't add up. I really couldn't wait to see how Ms. Kenyon was going to resolve the problem and repair the relationship between Fain, Galene, and their son Talyn. This book did not disappoint! She did a great job with it and managed to add in a new, sympathetic dimension to an old, hated character as well.I love Ms. Kenyon's writing. I've been reading her books since the first of the Dark Hunters and she rarely disappoints. With some of her stories you have to have a strong stomach as Ms. Kenyon uses her writing to exorcise her personal demons of childhood abuse, but she does it not from a point of woe-is-me victimization but of the strength and resilience of the survivors. I love how involved she gets with her characters and their lives, how she makes them feel real by carrying their stories on into the next one; how all of the characters interact and effect one another's lives. Her series are fluid, not static. That being said, if you're not an established fan of the series and come into the middle or at the end with the latest book, you will be totally lost. Read the series from the beginning. You will laugh and you will cry but you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend it.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Great Series, Disappointing Book By Michelle Mason I was excited to get Fain's story, but I got frustrated in several ways. This book felt like a second book in a trilogy: just story getting you from point A to point C. You have to have read the series to understand who are the NUMEROUS characters that span the entire story line. I'm a big fan of this series but found it hard to remember and keep straight who was who. Finally, it felt like the story just suddenly stopped. I was shocked when I turned the page and it was the author's bio and not more story. Again, I love this series, but this was not one of the best.

By Mary Elyse Ms Kenyons writing in this series is going the same direction as Dark Hunter series. Trying to add too many characters too fast and not sticking to a story. Both of the series had my intense and dedicated interest while they concentrated on one character and story but as they go they are clearly clones of each other as was evident in the characters from the start anyway. Although I loved the original characters. * Nyk= Acheron etc. And now Julian = Styxx. I lost interest in the last several DH books around The Guardian or Time and Time etc... and BOD was good but BOB was good to start then started down the slippery slope. I was bored about mid way. I will probably continue to read the rest, but like this one, I was waiting for the library book instead of spending 15.00 on an ebook. My bookshelve no longer has the paper or hardbacks. If you're new to the series you will probably love it. But I' m losing interest as I did with her DH series that is the same story only different names. There are still some characters I love though in both yet they don't get much time. I would give it a 3.5 if they had it.

Mad Men Carousel By Sandih29687 Fails to deliver on one level...if you are writing a critique of "The Greatest Series of All Time"--one expects more than a glossing over of favorite episodes. And combining episodes instead of devoting singular episode review. What I like is that he obviously loves MadMen as I do. I will have to look at this with other eyes and compare his with my own. And the symbolism is extraordinary. Will have to re-watch these episodes again comparing my evaluation with Seitz's. Thank you for doing an amazing job.

Normally these sorts of companion books to TV shows are . . . eh, okay at best. But Mad Men Carousel goes above and beyond -- it's excellent. As a die-hard Mad Men fan who has watched the whole series numerous times, I can honestly say that I love this book and highly recommend it.

Although the analyses of some episodes - such as the superb sixth season finale - are disappointing and miss the mark, most discussions are thorough, enriching and thought-provoking. I highly recommend it for anyone wanting a better understanding of this superb show.

Sometimes we don't always realize that what we already have is pretty great! I haven't read the rest of the Timeless Anthology this was included in. I plan to look that up and read those ones too. They always put great sets together and this was a good one! Great job Annette as always!Note: I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Caroline is a strong character with many lovely qualities and feels safe with her best friend James, but it takes a scary moment and some unwanted advances from someone else to make her realize her true feelings for her best friend, but is it too late for her to let him know? Loved this short story and for less than $1? A great bargain!

Her best friend works there with her and there friendship grows as things get a little scary. This was a fun story, I wish it had been a little longer.

About the Author

Scott Pratt’s first novel, An Innocent Client—the first book in his Joe Dillard series—was chosen as a finalist for the Mystery Readers International’s Macavity Award. Born in Michigan and raised in Tennessee, he earned a bachelor of arts degree in English from East Tennessee State University and a doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He resides in northeast Tennessee with his wife, his two dogs, and a parrot.

By Lyndsy Dailey *I was given an advance copy of this book to read and write a review. However, being provided a copy of the book for free doesn't influence my opinion since I would have been able to read it on Kindle Unlimited anyway.*This book is fantastic. I've read the 7 books in the Joe Dillard series, and I enjoyed all but one of them. This book blows all of those out of the water.The thing I love about these books is how much of the legal process we get to see. This book goes into even more depth. As someone trained in the law I'm always watching out for an author to trip up or fail to explain something the right way. Pratt has his technique locked down. The reader gets an explanation of what's going on that's accurate but also without the reader feeling like they're being talked to like they're unintelligent.I also love the depth to which we get to know the characters. My favorite part of any story is the people involved. None of his characters are perfect either. They all have flaws and issues, which makes them infinitely more likable and understandable. We can relate to the decisions they make and their beliefs. The main character in this book, Darren Street, is no exception. He is eminently flawed and human.I also like how Pratt weaves the characters' histories throughout the book. I hate getting the background dumped on me in one fell swoop.This book definitely paints a disturbing and unfortunately realistic picture of the criminal justice system in the United States.If you have read and enjoyed the Joe Dillard series, you will absolutely love this book. If you're a fan of Robert Dugoni's books, you'll really enjoy this one.

Holmes Jr. I've read every book that Scott Pratt has written and this is by far the best.I have always loved legal novels and I have reading everything starting with Earl Stanley Gardner. I just love the legal process. Once, I started the book, I could not put it down. It is a fast-paced novel and it is the best legal novel that I have ever read.Darren Street is the main character, who of course, is an attorney. All of the characters come to life as real people, which Scott Pratt is so gifted at doing. I love the way Scott Pratt weaves the background and history of the characters into the plot as it develops. This book demonstrates the virtues and vulnerabilities of our legal and penal systems.Grace Alexander is my favorite character. She is perfect and principled. I don't want to spoil it for the reader, but Grace is the best.If you love the Joe Dillard series, you will love this masterpiece. The only fault Scott Pratt has is that he cannot write novels fast enough for me. I am addicted.

Pratt's crafting of a thriller is consistently better than any by Grisham...and I like John Grisham.In "Justice Redeemed" Darren Street is a successful criminal defense attorney who, early in his career, successfully had the 19 year old conviction of his uncle overturned. He did this by proving the prosecutor, Ben Clancey, had fabricated evidence to railroad the uncle. Street then dedicated himself to ensuring the prosecutor lost his next bid for reelection.Street has gained the attention of Jalen Jordan who, we learn, is a serial sexual molester and killer of young boys. Accompanied by his mother, Jordan appears at Street's office, presenting him with $50 thousand in cash as a retainer to defend him in a routine traffic stop he anticipates will develop into much more. He makes it clear to Street that he knows details about his personal life, including the name of his young son, where his son attends school, etc. Street tosses Jordan out of his office, refuses to take his case and vows to kill him if he comes near his son.Ultimately, Jordan is killed and Street charged. The killing occurred in a national park, making it a federal crime. The federal prosecutor? Yep, Ben Clancey. [While perhaps not quite as evil, I suspect the legal system has more than its share of prosecutors like Ben Clancey who, at minimum,, cut corners to achieve convictions.]You must read the book to learn of the next twists and turns. You will not be disappointed.My greatest disappointment is I must now wait for Pratt to write another novel, be it in the Joe Dillard series or another stand alone. Whichever it is, I do hope he is working on it now.This is another outstanding book by an outstanding author!

The Denynso of Uoria are being attacked by the Klimnu and through each book you discover more of the powers that the Kilmnu possess and what or who they are after. The Denynso King and Queen have opened there home world to a select few through a university program. Those selected will stay on Uoria for 6 months. Some of the Denynso warriors want nothing more than to find a female to bond with, to love and protect. The only problem with that is the females they bond with are human and are not the type to be coddled, they will stand next to their males not behind them. In each bonding there are struggles that will they will fight to overcome and feelings that they try to deny. I received an ARC for an honest review.

We meet alien royalty, their warriors and their chosen women. Each one of these individual stories has a awesome storyline and you can't help but fall in love with their characters. I loved every single one of these stories for various reasons. Definitely worth the read. Loved them!

LOVED it! and loved it so much i just bought the UORIA mates II. and the author even wrote to me letting me know she how she came up with the idea. wow love the personal info and again, I LOVED THIS SERIES!!!! lol gimme some Denynos warrior males-and maybe have a few with twins and finding their mate on earth. or maybe the birth of twins or triplets?

An interesting viewpoint on the idea that power corrupts By Robert A Casteleyn This story is well written, easy to read and explores interesting new ideas.The main character is a 10- 11 year old boy with an super genius IQ who is under extreme pressure in that only he can save the human race. Because he can invent anything with enough time and effort he is very important, influential and powerful.Therefore how does he stop himself becoming corrupted?Read the book to find out.As for a previous reviewers complaint that the author is pushing his religious ideas at us. I am personally non religious and don't really believe in anything. I read the book. Enjoyed it and still don't believe in jesus, god or the easter bunny.This is science fiction. Keep an open mind and learn to enjoy other peoples viewpoints. You shouldn't be threatened by other peoples faith, beliefs or even non- beliefs.Human beings are wonderful and it would be a boring world if we all believed in the same things.Cheers

8 of 12 people found the following review helpful. If you like the preachy kind of story then i would have given 4 stars. By Rijah I wont dismiss the story as terrible. but i was very disappointed. After reading the first book i was fearful that the author would try to focus on god. I always hate it when authors start doing that. I would have liked to see a disclaimer or something to let me know that this was a religious book. I wanted to read a good story abut a super genius with healing abilities. Not a story about some nut who thinks god spoke to him. What kind of super genius thinks that? Its one thing if the main had stated that he would like to think that yes. but nope. He goes all out and says he is given a mission. After that the whole story felt just off. He was no longer doing what he is doing because its the right thing to do now it felt like he was being forced. Something just felt off. I just stop liking the character because i started questioning his motives. Is it cause he loves science? or is it because "god" scared him with a mission? I was really starting to like it too. I would give it a one but i did enjoy the story to a point. And i have read other stories written my pastors and priests with much more subtlety when it comes to faith.
