As with all the other books in this series you are left wanting more, and looking forward to the next one.A great read, highly recommended to anyone who can appreciate this genre.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. NEVER SAW THAT COMING! By RANDY MCBRAYER Bishop & Terri are the most enduring characters in post apocalyptic fiction, IMHO. Along with their accumulated friends, associates and co-workers, they always make for good quality reading, with lasting, honest storylines that suck the reader into the fray. In this, ELEVENTH volume in the successful Holding Their Own series, we find a myriad of dangers, mysteries, quandaries, and Bishop - especially - seems to be in the middle of it all (as usual). What's is NOT usual, however, is the context. Just as things are beginning to gel for the ever burgeoning Alliance, something (or a whole lot of somethings) just ain't right. And everyone seems to have their own very different take on things. At least those who will admit something is off.Old friends aren't so friendly, or trustworthy lately. And new arrivals seem to have an agenda - but just what that is, no one can agree on. All on the eve of an important new Alliance program - upon which much (if not everything) might depend. Amidst the usual SAINT missions, Bishop, Terry & Hunter's adventures, and Nick's recuperation things are getting tense. In some quarters, way PAST merely tense. And that is most unusual. But author Joe Nobody has crafted yet another masterpiece. Just how he continues this kind of quality storytelling at this pace astounds me. But I'm glad he does. Because no one does it better.
