Olivia and Chief Rawlings are married but have yet to take a honeymoon. They decide to enjoy a short honeymoon on Palmetto Island before the rest of the Bayside Writers join them for the Legends of Coastal Carolina Festival. The festival, an annual event, is special this year because Silas Black, a television producer who brings legends to life on the small screen, is the main speaker at the festival. He plans a show about the famous pirates along the Carolina coast. The problem is, Silas has a history of taking liberties with the historical figures and the actual facts of the legends he brings to the screen, so not everyone on the island is thrilled that he is coming. If that was not enough to put a damper on the festival, the environmentalists are up in arms because of a proposed land development project which would cut deeply into a nature preserve.It should come as no surprise to readers that although they were determined to have a good time regardless of the distractions, Olivia and Rawlings soon find themselves immersed in the conflicts. As the week progresses, they discover that the program is not the only reason for Silas to be on the island and Olivia is shocked to find out about some long buried secrets involving her father which are also tied to Silas.Adams has done an excellent job of plotting this book out. Readers need to pay close attention to even the seemingly most minor points to follow the twisted plot threads. Also, there is a couple of rather shocking turns towards the end of the book.At the end of the book, Adams has included a page detailing information about the real island that is used as “Palmetto Island “ in this book . Also, one of the key plot points has to do with a pirate artifact and the real information on that is also included.Writing All Wrongs is the seventh book in the Books by the Bay series.I was sent a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

By Lisa Ks Book Reviews WRITING ALL WRONGS, was ALL right!I get so excited when new cozy mysteries are due to be released. There are certain authors who bump up that excitement to a whole different level, and Ellery Adams is one of those authors. If her name is on the book, I’s a for certain read for me. The Book By The Bay Mystery series is the only proof you need of why.First, I adore the way each chapter starts with a quote from a famous literary figure. I think it’s fun with an author add a touch like this.WRITING ALL WRONGS starts just a few months after series lead, Olivia Limoges and Chief Rawlings are married. I enjoyed reading the new dynamic in their relationship. Reading of how they were adjusting to their new roles.This was another brilliant plot by Ellery Adams, whose attention to detail on a bad day is wonderful, and on a good day, outstanding! And outstanding is the word to use to describe this book. Gilot In this seventh installment of the Book By The Bay Mysteries, Ellery Adams hits all of the right notes. Olivia and Chief Rawlings finally get to go on their honeymoon to Palmetto Island. It is a walk down memory lane for Rawlings as this is where he grew up as a young boy and he loves the legends of the pirates and island lore. Olivia meets and is enchanted by the oldest resident on the island, George Allen and his son Boyd. George has lived on the island all of his life and knows all there is to know of the legends and ghost stories.There are big doings on the Island and the Bayside Book Writers meet them there for the Legends of Coastal Carolina Festival. Here we meet the infamous Silas Black (I just love that name!) who is a famous TV producer and is working on filming his popular show in North Carolina, No Quarter, a notorious womanizer and keeper of secrets.Secrets abound in Writing All Wrongs which is fantastic, because it moves the story along. So many people who's secrets are intertwined, casting a wider web of deceit. When someone decides to recreate Palmetto Island ghost stories, during the festival, Olivia, Rawlings, Laurel, Harris and Millay, have to break through the web, clear an innocent man and uncover the secrets of the people and the island.Will they be able to solve the murders and mystery of Palmetto Island? Did I forget to mention that Millay’s book launch is happening back at Through The Wardrobe when they get home? Will the book launch go off without a hitch?
