Epic Series for a quick read By Amazon Customer What I like most about this book is characters story line, no two people are the same, every one have a unique situation. It's realistic and keep you wanting more. The characters you love the most you identify with and the ones you dislike means the author did a good job depicting the character. Yes, I would recommend this book to all book lovers who know there's no such thing as happy ever after, but life comes with obstacles, and it's our choice to get through it are let it consume us.

John and his team were kidnapped, but crashed in Wyoming while overpowering their abductors. They are thought to be dead. He quickly makes the best of the situation and decides to annex the Northwest ahead of schedule. He only has to kill a few thousand gang members and wannabe dictators. No big hill to climb for John. John and his followers survive and begin rebuilding Post Apocalyptic America in spite of the US Government which is bent on placing Americans in work camps and installing a socialist style of government. After the EMP (The Day America Died.-Book I) is a series about an average American who works hard at surviving after EMP blasts take down the Grid, transportation and all electronics. He tries to be a good man, but has several flaws that he is always trying to over come. He first has to travel home from the west coast to Kentucky to find and protect his teen daughter. After that it is just trying to survive in a world full of danger and chaos.Grumpy, Sam and Sammy is a series about a young girl who develops from a poor abused child into a strong woman crime fighter who solves murder mysteries with the help of her adopted father and a tiny Shih Tzu. In the first two novels she solves the murders and kidnapping of hundreds of young girls by a wealthy man in Kentucky. These novels portray a family with strong Christian values who struggle to be better in their faith while dealing with an imperfect world.I was born and raised in a small town in the western part of Kentucky. My Dad taught me how to handle guns very early in life and I spent summers shooting .22 rifles and fishing. I read every book I could get my hands on and fell in love with science fiction. I graduated from Southern Indiana University with a degree in Chemistry and made a career working in manufacturing and logistics, but always fancied myself as an author. I began writing my first book in 1999, but was busy making a living and the book had to wait. I finished it in Dec 2013. I am now retired and devote most of my days to writing. The only reason that I gave it one star is because Amazon won't allow you to leave none. The story is completely disjointed and there is no continuity between the characters and the storyline. There are so many missing and misused words that it is very hard to follow the story. I sincerely hope that the author's college thesis was better written than this book.

Heartwarming story from the cover to the final page By Mocha with Linda I'm not a fan of dogs but I love Dan Walsh's books, so I immediately jumped at the chance to review his new novel, Rescuing Finley. While you shouldn't always judge a book by its cover, I can vouch for the fact that the story is as heartwarming as the outside of this novel. The initial chapters are a bit disjointed, the result of introducing the characters in their separate environments before their lives intertwined, but once the story picks up speed, the continuity smooths out and I was completely engrossed in the tale. This is a tug-at-your-heart book which will leave you smiling and even shedding a tear or two along the way. Walsh is an expert at crafting stories that warm your heart and touch your soul without being syrupy and overly sentimental. I look forward to the next two Forever Home novels, Saving Parker and Finding Riley, coming in 2016. Wills Rescuing Finley is a refreshing, comfortable story, one that leaves the reader with a good feeling about society and the inherent goodness in people. Chris Seger, a former Marine, lost a leg while serving his country in Afghanistan. But he suffered more than just physical pain—he developed PTSD—a condition that interferes with his ability to interact with people in a normal manner.Amy Wallace has her own troubles. Drug addiction and a few brushes with the law resulted in a prison sentence. Her behavior caused her family to reject her. Now she finds herself alone and scared in an environment that is both dangerous and potentially violent.A very special dog, Finley, has suffered his own trauma. Finley’s master, Chaz, was killed while serving in the Middle East. Chaz’s mother was watching Finley while her son was gone, and now she’s stuck with a dog she can’t control while she grieves her son’s death. It becomes too much for the woman, and she finally brings Finley to a shelter.Finley is chosen for a special prison program that trains dogs and matches them with military members suffering from PTSD. Finally a series worth reading By Ivo I read over 30 books per year so it could be me being jaded, or just having read a lot of similarly tailored stories, but I usually don't much like most books I find for under $5. Even the ones with rave reviews and 5 star ratings fail to engage me and are at most a 3/5 stars for me, I read them to kill time while searching for the next great thing.Not so with this book! It is a full 5 star adventure book in my mind. I was very surprised that from page 1 the book drew me in, I liked the character, writing style and the novel system the author has invented for his world. There are no wordy passages just to full pages, everything said is top the point and needed to move the story. It made reading the book engaging for me, never made me want to yawn or look at the clock. :)The story line also resonated with me. I could see myself in place of the main hero. The decisions made sense, the battles felt like they could actually happen the way they are described. Nowhere did I feel like an artificial element was included just to save the hero, the plot, or distract from something that doesn't make sense. The unnatural and magical things make sense within the world.Bottom line, I'm glad I clicked the Buy button on this book - I read it in less than a day, found another favorite author and am eagerly awaiting to start on the next book in the series. This is one case where I want the series to be long so I can immerse myself in the world for as long as possible.

7 of 9 people found the following review helpful. I really enjoyed this book By Michael Roberts I really enjoyed this book. It has everything I want in a LitRPG book. The MC has some interesting abilities. The characters were interesting and how the world worked was shown and explained. There were dungeon crawls, new loots, and an interesting premise. There were some spelling errors. Specifically there were several instances where instead of "your" or "yours" it would say "you" as well as others I can't recall off the top of my head. It was never so bad it got irritating but they were there. Can't wait for next book!

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Good story By The Mad GM Well written litrpg with good world building and character development. Hints at continuing sort arc to interest in the next installment without leaving a cliffhanger ending. I will be purchasing the next story.
